STEM teacher professional development in pre-service teacher education: A literature review

Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education has recently been gaining popularity in a number of countries. This seems to have ramifications for increasing the intensity with which professional development programmes are implemented at both in-service pre-service teacher levels. The present study provides systematic literature review on scientific articles published between 2015 2021, examining how STEM (STEM-TPD) led corpus. Following screening process, 66 studies were found be eligible compliance criteria. review's findings indicate positive trend STEM-TPD articles, an increase publications from year many majority conducted United States Turkey using various research methods. programme is carried out three areas, namely, included existing courses, outside lectures, newly developed courses. We also ultimately discuss seven most frequently used elements types participant collaboration.
